Lallemand at ISSY38

Lallemand is proud to participate in the 38th International Specialized Symposium on Yeasts (ISSY38) currently happening in Warsaw, Poland. In this event, our company will showcase our commitment to advancing yeast science through collaboration and innovation by presenting in one specific module and presenting a poster about LEVEL2 SALVA™.

In the “Metabolism and Metabolomics” module, Ildar Nisamedtinov, VP Corporate R&D Coordination, will present “When Science Meets Production: Some Practical Considerations”. His talk will highlight efficiency, scalability, and economic feasibility of bioprocess development as crucial elements from an industry perspective, all while emphasizing the value of close collaboration between scientists and industry by highlighting Lallemand’s close relationship with the scientific community.

On the other hand, the Oenology Business Unit will present a scientific poster about LEVEL2 SALVA™, a unique non-Saccharomyces yeast targeting Brettanomyces bruxellensis early in the prefermentative stages. Selected with the South African Grape and Wine Research Institute, this Suhomyces pyralidae yeast produces Spkt1, a factor that disrupts Brettanomyces cell walls—offering a preventive solution against this key concern to winemakers. If you are at the Symposium, make sure to stop by the poster area and meet Anne Ortiz Julien, Lallemand Oenology R&D Director, to learn more!
